ISLAMABAD: China has planned to built Silk-Belt and Marine Economical Corridor to boost trade ties among South Asia, Central Asia and Middle East countries.
In this regard, China will provide full support in development and infrastructure projects like Gwadar Port, Karachi Lahore Motorway and Silk Route Economical Corridor by constructing Karakorum Highway which will help Pakistan to grow as Asian Tiger.
It was announced by Deputy Ambassador of China to Pakistan, Yao Wen while addressing the closing ceremony of 4-day Pak-China Business Forum 2014 organized by COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) on Monday.
He appreciated the efforts laid down in making the event a success.
He acknowledged the participation of businessmen from both countries who have actively participated in the forum.
Yao Wen emphasized on the fact of having stronger bilateral relations between the two countries.
Furthermore, he also highlighted that China has been working for the betterment of Pakistan in different sectors and projects major are Gwadar Port, Karachi Lahore Motorway, and Karakorum Highway and Economical Corridor.
Insisting on the need of more bilateral relations across the borders, Yao Wen said, to develop the Silk Route Economical Belt for the revival of trade and economy in the region.
India is exporting billions of dollars Information Technology services to China, and in the same field Pakistani companies should also be given a chance to export IT related products.
There are great opportunities to expend bilateral trade, Rector CIIT, Dr Juneed Zaidi said.
Imran Afzal Cheema Secretary Chairman Board of Investment (BOI) also thanked the management of CIIT.
He also acknowledged Chinese and Pakistani Industrialists for showcasing their projects.
Country Director United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) Ehsam also appreciated the efforts of bringing together the businessmen from China and Pakistan on one platform and marked the event a success in all aspects.
